עֵזֶר

  • Help
  • Rescue
  • Shield

The word is used twenty-one times in the Hebrew Scriptures. Most of them describe God himself — the one who shows up for people who cannot save themselves.

What we do

We equip the church to be what its name says God is.

Ezer Ministries is a Montana nonprofit built on a single conviction: that the people of God are called to be help, rescue, and shield — present and ready when it is needed most.

We hold that calling together in two ways. We equip churches with the training to recognize and respond to domestic violence in their congregations. And we teach Scripture rooted in the historic Christian witness. One work, two tracks, neither one optional.

Two tracks

Training for churches

Most pastors will encounter domestic violence in their congregation. Few have been trained to recognize it, and fewer still know what to do next. We teach church leaders what abuse actually looks like — coercive control, patterns of behavior, the tactics that hide in plain sight — and how to respond in a way that protects people rather than sending them back into harm.

Biblical teaching

Written and recorded teaching on Scripture, drawn from the historic Christian witness and the pattern of the biblical text. Free, public, and made for people who want to read the Bible closely rather than quickly.

We are looking for churches to train this fall.

If you lead a congregation and you want your leadership equipped before the next crisis walks through your door, we would like to talk with you. We are based in Montana and we travel — see where we will be.
